Assuming you went manual we'll be car twins minus the tow hitch.

I did go with the high gloss aluminum wheels though.

I put my order 2 door BD with cross roads Kernersville. Live in Winston Salem n.c.
I bought my F150 from there in 2018, they are great to deal with.

I ordered from Modern Ford in Boone. I’m #4 out of 49 with an allocation of 13. 2 dr badlands, high pkg, Area 51, 2.7 10 spd. Pretty good experience with them so far.

Anyone in nc have a dealer that didn’t charge a non refundable deposit? I have a fe reservation but depending on what’s going on in the summer I might walk away from it. Or any dealers going below invoice?

I am in Wake Forest and moved my order to Chapman Ford of Horsham in PA (TOM has a thread in here in it). One way ticket from RDU to PHL is roughly $42 and then a six hour drive back. His price is 3% under invoice and no additional deposit required with $394 PA doc fee. This will save me a couple grand so with the trip.

Order Report:

Today was my appointment to order from Crossroads Ford in Fuquay-Varina. I had purchased a F150 a couple years ago and they were fair. That changed today on the Bronco.

Back in July when I made my reservation (7/26), Before choosing them as my closest dealer, I called and asked if they would be marking the Bronco up over MSRP. They said no. Just MSRP and $695 Doc Free. Being this was very early in the process, and I hadn't heard of any discounts; I thought that was fair. I chose them for my reservation.

After going through the configuration process, I asked to confirm the deal, and salesman says, Yes, it will be MSRP, Doc Free and, Oh by the way, all new Bronco we sell come with the Ford Protect Exterior and Interior Protection Plan for an additional $497.

High margin add-ons are just simple markup. I think it was disingenuous to tell me it was MSRP, then on the day of I show up to order, say it will be $500 more for the bottles of "protectant". I told him I was not interested in the add-on. He told me it was compulsory. I told him I was not interested. We went round a few times. We agreed we were at an impasse. So I walked out.

I have changed my reservation to Stephens Auto Center Ford in Danville, WV. I spoke to John who is handling the Bronco orders.

His deal is $1000 BELOW Invoice plus $250 DOC. Totally blowing Crossroads Ford F-V out the water.

It is likely I will end up with a 2022 since we are well passed Stephens' 2021 allocation. But, worth it to save thousands

The Ford phone number is 800-334-4375. It is painless.

To be clear, it's not the fake add-on product that bothers, me. If they had lead with that in July, I may have agreed. It's the say one-thing, then later, when they know you are emotionally attached, try to sneak in more profit.

Crossroads Ford Fuquay-Varina has lost my business permanently.

I am sure they will sell all their allocation even with the mark-up. And make good money doing it. However, dealerships like Granger and Stephens are taking a different approach. Get lots of orders, increase their allocation for 2022.

Sorry you had to deal with that. It's one of the reason I switched my reservation as well.

Welcome to SAC. I moved my reservation a while back from Asheville after they would not commit to MSRP. I feel like I got the Mod hard top for free by going with SAC. Looking forward to the road trip home from WV in my new BD.

As mentioned earlier in this thread, I'm currently with Felix Sabetes in CLT. I hadn't heard anything from them so last Friday I reached out. It seems that Susie is now their current Bronco person and she was excellent at reaching out immediately and has maintained great communication ever since. I asked about their estimated allocation and where I was based on my 7/14 8:09am timestamp. Unfortunately, she said they were unable to predict where I would fall at this point based on the overall number of reservations they have. I understand that they don't want to communicate any false information and get someone's hope up, however I would have appreciated a guesstimate based on what info they do have. Anyway, she also confirmed that they are selling at MSRP and have a $799 document fee. Again, I'd love to stay local but am seriously considering other deals (like those mentioned in this thread) at this point.

Precisely why I also went out of state. I seldom have enjoyable experiences dealing with car dealers, but sometimes it is.
It seems like they feel like we should just go along with any add-ons (blatant upcharging) or ADM, and to do it with a smile and gratitude for them doing us a favor by allowing us to leave in a new vehicle.
It's a business and I guess nowadays that personal feeling is gone. Plenty of fish in the sea who will say "yes please" and pay whatever. And not even think twice about a "paint protection" package that is a no-name cheap detail wax applied to the top of the hood and front fenders so the water beads well for delivery.
I know this for fact, as a part time 2nd job I had for a local dealer a while back was in the detail dept.
They remove the plastic on the seats and floorboards, vacuum the carpet, wash it, and apply this white crappy generic bottle wax to the hood, top crowns of the doors, and front fenders again.
You get the $500-as much as $1500 "paint protectant" add-on. They pay the guys $10/hour and use about $5 in materials, and it's done in less than 20 minutes. So investment of @$7 nets them $500-1500.
I don't play the games anymore with any of them. I'm fine with MSRP. I know they have to make money because it's a business. Their employees have to make money. I'm ok with that.
What I'm not ok with is ADM, Doc fees over $150, or mandatory, non-negotiable cash grabs and an offended attitude when I try and ask what it entails and why I don't want it.
I got told once at a dealer in Winston Salem (not out to bash any specific one) "Fine, go ahead and walk. Someone else will be in by the time you get home and gladly pay it. One person not buying here isn't going to break this business. If you or anyone else is not paying cash for it then you need us to make it work, and in doing so we need to be compensated. "
