Judging solely on the pictures provided it almost looks like I could get away with only using half of the cart for my 2 door. The front doors would fit in the one opening, with the front hardtop panels stored on the outside, and the rear cap laying on top as pictured...

Nice work! I think the modifications you made to fit the middle MIC panel on the side was definitely the way to go. Also glad to hear it is solid once assembled, that's something I was worried about as there seems to be a lot of pieces to assemble. Speaking of assembly, how hard is it to put together? I'm assuming it's simple to do, but just takes a while.

I too was looking at designing and building my own cart out of the same t-slot channeling, but after pricing everything up on McMaster-Carr I quickly realized it was going to be way too expensive.

Thanks for sharing!

Assembly was fine, just tedious with one person. Definitely read the particulars on the PDF as well as watching the video. I had to disassemble a few sections to reposition items I would have caught had I paid closer attention

Hi Blue - looking to buy this cart but have one concern. The hardtop has a carpet headliner and I’m worried the bars of the cart will make permanent indentations in the headliner after sitting there with the pressure points from the cart. Any thoughts?

I haven't had any issues with marks or indentations being left on the hardtop. One reason is the rubber trim stips on the cart. I think the lighter weight of the hardtop combined with the low-pile headliner helps as well

This could be MUCH smaller for the Bronco.
The company is lazy, and selling the Jeep version - that accomidates the framed windows
Passing that off as a Bronco specific solution. Its not
Way too much wasted space

I’m just going to build a custom wood cart today where the top lip sits on a padded 4x4. No chance whatsoever of headliner damage and maybe $50 in materials

Sweet, update the thread with some pics when you're done. I'm interested in seeing a rack purposely built for the Bronco

Might want to add some gussets to those legs
