If your bronco was built before august then it definitely doesn't have the prep kit. You could still get a ford factory hard top. You just wouldn't have a functional rear wiper or window defroster. Thats all there is to the prep kit.
As far as I understand it, this is correct. I would like to have the defroster and wiper but I got mine too early. If I ever decide to get a hardtop I'll make do without.

Should look like this.

If I am reading my VIN right, mine was manufactured in March of 2020, which means no prep for Hard top. I will have to check tomorrow, and I am not sure I am reading it right. But I think I am.

That is not the end of the world. I don't have them with the soft top either! 😁

Bronco wasnt even debut until July 2020. If you meant 2021 that is still before Bronco production began. Order deadline wasn't until March of 2021. Use your VIN to lookup the window sticker. That will provide an estimate of production date.

I think it was September of 2021 which would mean I have the kit, but I will confirm tomorrow when my wife gets home!

It looks like mine was built in August of 2021. Does that mean I missed the prep kit? Wasn't it starting in September?
Does the window sticker say that it has a prep kit? Under optional equipment it will say “soft top, cloth w/ prep kit” if you have it.

Nope, it just says soft top. One month too late... oh well.
