How do you turn the horizontal lights up front to Amber?

Hey was wondering how people are turning the horizontal lights on the from to amber. Just installed amber drills with my fog light kit and ditch lights from rough country and think it would be cool to turn the horizontal lights to amber as well is this a forescan mod. thanks.

Interesting!!! IDK, may need a relay or two bcuz its tied into your blinker.​

I went with laminate for mine to keep the amber appearance when off. I did 2 layers on each, mirror sides got a single, then my trips got 2 also. Very nice thick and heavy material. Don’t think a rock would make it through. I layer is a real nice deep orange, 2 layers adds a red look to it. Don’t mind the one that looks out, camera sees them as a strobe.

If worried about cutting them you can buy black/tinted ones from sticker fab to use as a template to cut the orange ones.

You can use Forscan to enable to DRL to be amber, however this is only during the day. The auto headlamp automatically turns on and the DRL turns back to white at night.

If you don't want to mess with forscan, Stickerfab makes an amber vinyl overlay for the DRL bars.

This is with the Stickerfab amber overlay vinyl on mine. When the white DRL is lit, they look more yellow than amber. I like them though.

I wonder if you could do that with the outside circle DRLs too. That would look like a Bronco Raptor.

In Forscan I changed the configuration in BdyCM Module config (AS BUILT format)

from this:
726-43-01 0202 0000 0176
to:
726-43-01 0101 0000 0176

0101 which is 'Turn and DRL'. Default was 0202 which was 'Turn Only'. 0303 and 0404 leave the position (marker lights) having priority. If there is a way to change Turn Signals to have top priority then 0404 would work.

If you go into the non (asbuilt) version, you can just search for "front" and change the front left and right turns to 'Turn and DRL'. It will change the as built to 0101 for you id that is easier for you.

This is as good as it gets so far. Remember for DRL to go full amber you need the transmission in D or R. Turn signals work in all headlight modes, but amber DRL goes back to white once headlights come on.

I am hoping for some film that looks amber when the lights are on - anyone find anything out there which does that? trying to get a match with the side turn signals when the lights are on. and one other question- when the DRLs are on, does the film make them look even darker or do they stay pretty true to the base look?

I love the amber DRLs with the white halos. ForScan is so worth it.

You can also get rid of the annoying double honk when you get out with your keys in your pocket, disable the auto engine shutoff... and oh yeah, add all the missing GOAT modes. Best investment in time, effort, and money for a Bronco. Ever.
