How to turn off lights under mirrors when tailgate open?

It maybe too late... but, the door lock latch. Turn it to engage / lock or clasp position.

But, I'm thinking... wrap the mirrors with something like ah your date's clothing. Just saying...lol

So I looked for a little push button that engages when the door is closed, doesn’t exist obviously, the next logical step was the try the latch. My dumba** did isn’t realize it has to clicking / locking points. You have to push the latch in so it clicks twice. I’m home now, but at least for next time and anyone reading this.

Lol... still curious why the mirror lights didn't time out! Even the power socket in the back times out in 1hr.
