Carry your key!!! Ha - then you get the double honk.

I’ve just learned to deal with it….it’s a small price to pay for freedom of doors!

I'm used to 1 click unlock driver door, 2 click unlock all. Ford cant seem to grasp the basics, but I'll live with it

Does anyone know of a way to NOT auto lock the tailgate when the doors are off?
You can change unlock settings with the key from the car settings so you don't have to don't double unlock click. Besides that I don't think there is a way as it does add some security.

Something I also noticed recently is that the Hood is also part of the Locking/alarm system. One time I opened the hood to show a friend how messy it was under there and while getting out of the car I locked the doors from habit and once I closed the hood the lights flashed telling me the car was locked.

After taking my doors off and knowing that it made sense since the hood latch is very visible and in the event that someone unlatches your hood while your doors are off the alarm would go off assuming that you "locked" the car.

Another reason I like my keypad. Just press the last two buttons and everything is secure in the cargo enclosure.

Very annoying "feature". Hoping a fix comes out.

Get home, put the keys up. Get out and about doing things, try to load something in the back, locked. In the vehicle running and the keys in the dash, try to jump out, locked. Keep the keys in your pocket, double honk. Simply dumb.
