If Ford offers the fastback soft top in place of the 2DR MIC, will you take it or wait?

I’m absolutely in love with the fastback as I said before it’s a different look better than the squared off Jeep look..
I will order one but also prefer the hard top for the winter...

MIC versus Modular, safe to assume that MIC weighs less? MIC plus headliner still less than Modular sans headliner? I want a hard top of some sort... cosmetics not as much a concern mainly focused on performance and ease of use.

Well - they do make pickup trucks, why not just ship the hard tops in the beds of the pickups with some foam padding around it - I am sure they can carefully craft something. They sell more pickups than Broncos.

That's actually a really interesting idea.

It reminds me of the story of Henry Ford once had windshields for Model As made in England with the stipulation that they were packed in crates made of English Oak. Once they arrived stateside, crates were disassembled, and the oak was used for the beds of trucks. I don't know if it's a true story, but man is it a good one.

I would absolutely take the soft top over the MIC hard top, all day long. It did take a few days to grow on me, but I'm at a point that I like it more than the MIC, for sure.

If this is how you go "topless" with the fastback soft top, then I'd probably pass. That's a lot of effort and a lot of floppy parts to deal with. I'll just go with the MIC and a bimini top for getting caught in minor rain.
