So keeping it real here. I'm in Texas and we do not drive 55 or 60 mph.

I traveled 300 plus miles to Houston cruising 78 mph. I passed cars as needed and stayed on cruise control when on the highway. I averaged 14.5 mpgs

On the way home i had cruise control set at 80 mph and passed a few cars as stated above. Same 14.5 mpgs.

To say you have a Braptor and are driving 50 mph for better mpgs is just comical.

Didn't say I was driving 50 for better MPG. I said it seams it gets its best mpg between 45 and 55. To get home from town I have five miles posted at 50 mph, then 16 miles posted at 45 mph. I drive between 7 and 10 over. When I go to the city, I have an additional 28 miles of interstate, which is posted 70 and I cruise at 77.

I didn't buy it for MPG. was just posting observations in day to day normal driving. No mater what I drive I'm usually 7 to 10 over.

You should keep a spreadsheet on all of your fill ups and calculate the mpg by actual miles and gallons at fill up. I've tracked every fill up since delivery last August on my 2.3l MT BL, and have found that the estimate the dash gives you can be off as much as 3 mpg (on the high side of course). I generally get around 19 mpg(calculated), but the dash is consistently .75 to 1.25 off on the high side. The biggest spread between actual mpg and the dash estimate was 3.5 mpg when it was supposed to be in "eco mode".
Hand calc mpg’s to find out it’s worse? Hell, No! “Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies . . .” I know distance between gas stations out here means realistic numbers are essential, but I can counter that with judicious fill ups.

Mine has showed that several times, mid 17's. However hand calculating it, its usually high 16's. Mine reads about 0.7 better than it really gets. This gets it window sticker MPG.

Much closer to accurate than my F-150 was. When F-150 showed 21 it was really 18. It was always 3 to 3.2 higher than I really got. It never got its window sticker mpg.

I haven’t responded because no one asked for a response.

I reported my initial numbers as I shared in my original post.

If there is a question you have…let me know.

Drive 225 miles today…average 70 mph…averaged 17.5 mpg.

drive from ATL to Columbia, SC. Had some crazy (lock down style traffic) @ beginning of trip - took 25 minutes to go .5 mile.

still aligned with initial post.

I don’t apologize for sharing. My original post is still my real life numbers…on 87 Costco gas. $2.55/gallon this morning.

I don’t average 20+mpg because I don’t usually drive that slow but they are real.
