Received a letter jointly from Ford/Roush today requesting that I voluntarily give them my vehicle for emissions testing conducted at the Allen Park Roush facility.

Standard stuff, but I have never been asked to participate before.

They want to give $200 - a loaner vehicle and return the bronco washed with a full tank of gas.

Its summer (essentially anyway); that is not NEARLY enough to give the Bronco up for 2-3 weeks...

However, has anyone ever leveraged more in these situations?

For example - if they could, fix my window rattle, replace my airbag assembly, address my softtop squeak and diagnose my engine sound then it would definitely be worth my time.
local dealer held my truck for 6 business days prior to even getting ford to approve the airbag assembly fix. Said they had the part. didn't. No work performed, no loaner given. I simply had no vehicle for that portion of time.

Anyone participated before? Feedback? benefits?

Well, those issues seem like something you could get done under warranty so not sure you'd really be ahead if you asked that. Interesting that they reached out to you on this - Never heard of that before.

I’ve gotten a few of these letters over the years. Never participated with my own vehicles but I have dropped in seeing them done. Very basic data logging stuff going on.

No they absolutely will not address any issues that would have to be covered by your dealer.

lmao I figured - so then what on earth would possess anyone to give them their vehicle for 3 weeks?
Simply creepy loyalty to Ford??

Reason I would be ahead is the following; Ford dealer had my vehicle for 6 business days and legitimately did not work on it. No loaner given.

If I could actually get the damn work done, and have me truck back in a reasonable time or be given a loaner then sure I wouldn't even bother pondering if roush would do it

I received the same letter. Haven't decided whether I'm going to participate yet.

Why would they ask this. I don't understand.

Ford wants to do follow up emissions testing. Roush is their contracted company to procure vehicles. They do this pretty regularly with new vehicle launches. I’m not sure if it’s totally random or falls within a production/supplied parts batch.

I’d consider it if the loaner vehicle were a gt500, or Ford GT😜.

plus an unlimited gas card for the loaner duration…😬
