@Moto26 the rear portion of the Hardtop has to stay on, the Skyrider has 3 different attachment points to it. Sorry about that!
~Crystal@Bestop
What about if you want to remove the whole kit and caboodle? Could you leave the SkyRider attached to the front of the clamshell, remove a minimal number of fasteners, and lift everything off together without a whole lot of trouble? I notice there are some plastic trim pieces that run the length of the roll cage, but it seems like they could stay in place, correct?

I'm a little worried about this cable catching something when open while offroading but I guess we could just pull it inside the vehicle.

EDIT: As pointed out by @Ksjrb03 , this is clearly wrong. I don't know how I ended up here but, to fix, I had to disengage the back of the top assembly from the car so I could lift it a little to remove the cable and fish it through the channel in the fabric. I was unsuccessful just fishing the wire through of its own rigidity and ended up using a fish tape.

@Moto26 that seems like it would be difficult, honestly it would probably be easier to remove the Skyrider, then remove the clamshell second if you're wanting to be completely topless. The few pieces that screw to the top of the door way could stay, as long as you're topless, but if you put/leave the clamshell on and put the 3 panels back on, those pieces would have to be removed and the brackets put back on.

@smast Yes, with the Skyrider, once you unlatch it from the windshield you have to fold it back from the outside of the Bronco.

Has this been test fitted for a Raptor yet since we have the extra b pillar bar?

Wow. Seems like it *might* work. I'm just not sure. As far as I remember, it's really just fabric accumulating up there. Seems quite possible.

I do like the idea of that rack though--not interfering with the hard front sections and maybe working for this too.
Its been ordered! I guess I'll find out!

Please let me know because I'm interested in that roof rack!
I don't know why I can't lay the back edge of the top right on the front edge of the rack, a bungee might keep it from flapping. Might have to coat/cover part of the metal to protect from fraying. I'll find out, and will post!

I was surprised to receive it 2 days ago as FedEx had said it would come on Tuesday but it made an early surprise for my wife.

One thing I should tell you about the install: if you're borrowing a garage to install this in (raining here), use one with the highest ceiling you can find.

The limb risers came in handy.

@ ~Crystal@Bestop, Realize this is a thread about the Skyrider, but I'm going to ask a question about the Sunrider anyway.

On a 4d Bronco, can you remove the Sunrider along with the middle (2nd row) panel as one complete unit, without disassembling the two? I'd love to be able to do that when I want to open up both rows.

@smast You could probably do that, with help, not something I would recommend for fear of ruining one of them and/or compromising the side rails somehow?

Curious what those cables are coming down from your windshield?
Thanks.

Limb risers. They keep the branches from whacking the windshield.

I haven't needed them that much but they were nice in some tight spots. That said, I felt fine with the branches going up and onto the MIC. I'm not sure I'll feel as good about letting branches drag over the roof with this softer top. In fact, I've been avoiding parking in my normal location at our house because I need to trim a tree.
