INSTALLING LIGHT BAR -- how to wire light bars to factory upfitter switches?

Can you guys chime in on how you ran/wired your light bars to factory upfitter switches. Did you drill anything?

I installed one of the Ford accessory bars and hated how they run the wires under the large front seal. If I were doing my own and had more time to study everything, I'd seriously consider drilling a hole if I could seal and protect it properly vs. disturbing the header seal.

This is for the Rigid bar. I think an early BN YT video shows drilling a hole for the wire but you can see they changed course in the "official" directions.
