Hello,

I'm looking for some help here.
I'm wondering if anyone has got this problem, and what could be the best way to address this.

Mine is a 2023 Badlands, Velocity Blue, Non Sasquatch.

I recently moved to Florida, and after spending the day in St Petersburg I notice something in the dashboard.
It appears to be a damage from the sun, I just had the Bronco parked for a few hours, not the whole day.

Thanks!

I am going to guess this is just a bad batch of dash or something. The folks in Arizona getting temps 20 degrees hotter on average and having no issues leads me to assume that anyways.

That or you are testing how believable it is this was caused by the sun before you take it to the dealer to get warrantied.

Hmm, we just went through 21 consecutive days of 100+ deg weather here in TX and haven't experienced or seen anything like that reported. My guess would be either a chemical cleaner was left on the dash that accelerated material breakdown, or, a concentrated light reflection was hitting that particular spot.

I live in St. Petersburg. My dash does not look like that.
Definitely some sort of defect, or there was something on the dash that caused that like @BlueBronco said.

I'm with others, it's been averaging 115-120 degrees this summer and have not had an issue. My guess is there was a concentrated reflection from the sun where you were parked, I read about buildings with highly reflective windows damaging cars parked on the street

If it were chemical, it should have happened in the whole dashboard.
My guess is some light reflection with extra heat. I don't know.

You got Broncosoriasis. Terminal! Or that's where the installer laid their greasy burrito. 🌯 👋 👀

I think it's either concentrated sunlight baked the plastic or the plastic in that spot is defective (or both).

Definitely warranty it and let us know how it goes. That's... oof.

How long did you leave the pizza box on the dash?
Was thinking the same thing. 😀..set it up on dash for one moment and the grease soaked thru box in that spot and sun hit and magnified it..

does someone put their bare feet up on your dash, maybe with some heel lotion? Looks looks heel marks to me.

If it isn't a topical cause, possibly heat or chems from under the dash. I don't know where the heater core is on new Broncos, but it used to be behind the glove box on my 88. If it was something like that I'd think antifreeze caused it. Longshot though. (Normally you see coolant on passenger floor and smell it)I think the only things under there are wiring, airbag, and ductwork.

But anyway, it's either an inherent flaw of dash, caused from above, or caused from below and you can't see that until you take it apart

Like i said, Longshot, I don't even think antifreeze would do that anyway. It May be acetone from nail polish remover. I've never seen this before, it's a new one to me. The plastics on the Broncos are like butter. I don't think time will be kind
