Anyone try jacking up entire rear end (2 or 4dr) under/from the hitch receiver yet?

The tinfoil crossmember and 3,500lb pull/500lb tongue make me think no way but those are of course dynamic ratings and it would be real handy for me if it didn't tweak anything...

No way. 500 lb tongue weight ought to be your clue.
Ought to, but that's 500lbs 'bouncing' up and down on it, with 3,500lbs being pulled thru it, at whatever speed they rate vehicles at, with some factor of safety against permanent deformation.

I just want to try to lift from there, with a very gradual application of force...still not saying it's possible or a good idea...just hashing your 'clue'...

I've seen people use high-lift jacks on the hitch. Capable? Probably. Good idea? Probably not.

No way I'd even try it but hey, it's your Bronco. Do as you wish.

That seems like a terrible idea to lift from there as suspension droops… and hi-lifts suck

Of course it will lift from the receiver. It’s done all the time. It’s stronger pushing up on it than down. When I put jack stands under my motorhome I use the hitch.

I have jacked my Bronco up several times using my Badlands Jack via the hitch… Sometimes when off road you have no other options…

You Sir, are a very brave man! No way I'd lift an RV by the receiver tube! Class A, or Class C?

Class A diesel pusher.
Lifted by the hydraulic leveling jacks and had a single heavy equipment stand under the receiver tube as a safety. One time I forgot to pull it out before lowering it and it held just fine. I’m a fabrication welder for a Cat dealer by trade and I can pretty much tell by looking at the construction of something how much it will hold. Most hitches bolted to the frame have a huge amount of strength pushing up. On the other hand pushing down the bolts are usually the weakest link.

OK, as a safety measure, I can see it, And yeah, a DP rear Sub Frame is beefy on an XC Chassis (assuming it's an XC anyway, I'm not very familiar with the other DP Chassis's)...
