Just picked up, a few thoughts.

Just got my base 7mt carb grey. It’s everything I expected. Drives better and more comfortable than I had expected as well. However, a couple thoughts came up after day 1:

- anybody get better headlight bulbs?
- CarPlay and Sirius xm don’t jive too well do they? Screen froze up a couple times.
- third gear is an absolute animal
- feels like my old wrangler but drives like my old Tacoma. What could be better?
- that base stereo. Yeeesh.
- even the base looks way better in person than any picture could capture
- 4cyl is enough for a casual to mildly spirited driver in a vehicle like this.
- very quick learning curve. Forgot I was in a completely new vehicle after just a couple hours.

well done ford. You gave me something I wanted, but was never available before this offering.

Good review, thanks. And congrats! Yes the base stereo is surprisingly bad. I replaced the four 4” speakers and added a Kicker powered sub behind rear seat for <$400 total and it sounds pretty great now.

Funny how the stereo is a love /hate thing.
I expected some pretty nasty stuff ... but compared to my standard Outback stereo, it's lovely! LOL
It's OK, until you you try to go loud ....

The tech package was pretty buggy at first on mine, but seemed to sort itself out after a few weeks and getting hooked up to the house wi-fi for updates. It's been fine for quite awhile now.
Nothing like losing all your presets, including the time, every few days to a week ..... so frustrating!!!

I thought the headlights were OK at best, my biggest concern is, I strongly prefer the more yellow light color of halogens. This seems very blue to me.
Even the Base is LED lamps, so I doubt there is an easy fix like "just changing the bulbs."

Very true. Same experience here also as far as driving it, short of relearning some of the controls.
The window buttons still get me , even after 8 months. LOL

lol, I have the opposite issue - I get into my fiancés car and always reach for the window switches on the centre arm rest. I guess I adapted too quickly!

I was totally surprised with how bad the stereo is. It sounds like my daughters Barbie power wheels stereo.

Totally agree with this. Third is my "won't let anyone get around me while getting on the highway" gear
Provided, of course, that they haven't already made it past me while rowing through first and second...
