K&N Cold Air Intake

Just purchased my K&N CAI, per K&N its "guaranteed" to increase power. Anyone have this on thier 2.3 Bronco care to share their thoughts/experinces so far with it?

I grabbed a screenshot of their Youtube clip stating "estimated" 12HP & 10FTLBS of Tourque.

Looking forward to a modest gain in power along with not having to clean my airfilter as often.

I highly doubt 12hp/10ft-lbs!
Maybe like 2/1, rule of thumb is usually $200 per 1hp.

Yeah I was thinking roughly the same. This my first 4-cyl so not sure what to expect.

The Ranger and Bronco's 2.3L intake setup are very similar, and Mishimoto got about 5-6 WHP/WTQ out of their Ranger aftermarket intake.

August seems to be the estimated release date for that. AFE just tested their own on mine this past week. Look forward to their release. Can't wait to see the dyno numbers

From the turbo diesel world, oiled filters in front of turbos were very common at first....and then not so much lol.

I got the standard drop in from K&N and got about .6 mpg plus the turbo spool is way more noticeable..

Only issue I’m having is I keep hearing the BOV actuator opening.. or so I think that’s where the noise is coming from.
I’ve had boosted cars in the past with vacuum Bov and waste gates.. so this electronic stuff is new to me.
Let me know if you have a similar issue!

For sure-I'm probably going to get around to installing it next weekend coming up. I have a Bov-Spacer on my Bronc and I can hear the intake pretty well from the cab, so I'm curious how much "louder" this will be.

Definitely keep you guys posted.
