Today we tested the strength of our tire carrier by lifting it with a forklift until the wheels came off of the ground. Skip to the end of the video to see what happens or check out the full video for a quick rundown on our tire carrier setup!

The install video is now live.

Check out our tire carrier options HERE

What additional options or accessories do you offer with the Carrier? I'm specifically interested in mounting two antennas, but others will want to mount other things as well.

Currently we are in R&D on a Jerry Can mount, Jack mount and Rotopax mount but antenna holders, whip holders etc are in the pipeline as well just a bit further behind. Expect to see all of those within 90-120 days.

The tailgate gap on the left side makes me cringe.

The Bronco was in neutral so it did roll forward a little as it was lifted. Accidental but a good representation of an impact coming off of an obstacle in a worst case scenario.

That left side pulled out because of the twisting from the angle it was lifted, it rolling forward and the play in the oem latching mechanism.

Once we set it back on the ground it looked identical to how it did before it was lifted meaning nothing was tweaked, bent, or damaged. Just some movement at the tailgates furthest point from the hinges.

We can’t wait to take some video out in the wild coming off of a ledge. We’ve nailed that spare tire a couple of times and no damage to speak of!

I’m super interested

been sitting on a hammarbilt bracket… no hinges. Guess it goes up for sale!

This looks like a much better solution than that Band-Aid

Thanks for the question! We haven’t experimented with any compressor mounting solutions inside of the spare tire yet but when we do we will definitely post here and let everyone know!

Looking forward to the install video. Do you have pictures of the tailgate support using the stock tire carrier?
I know it says it can be used with the stock tire carrier, but is it practical? Does it push the tire farther out from the tailgate?
