This question is about as common as the question, ‘Is the extended warranty worth it?’

My front drive shaft was replaced long ago and it didn’t make any difference. 150k mile full extended warranty puts my mind at ease.

If by "common" you mean 3 total threads, somewhat hard to find (depending on exact diction used in search) and lots of reading every post in all relevant threads to separate speculation vs. fact, then I suppose I agree...
Sorry to trouble you...

No need to get all sensitive; it was just a joke. But there are way more than three threads about the driveline bump, thud, or clunk. Looks like you may have narrowed down the solution to the rear driveshaft. Best of luck.

I'm just noticing a new minor clunk/thump that seems tranny (Auto, 10R60, in Raptor) related. I've got about 9k mi on my rig. I note it happening intermittently (maybe 1/3rd of the time) during braking right before getting to 0 speed. I think it is more likely under harder braking. It also happens after stopping (to 0) and after releasing the brake and then right when aoplying some gas pedal. Although it's purely an analogy, it seems like something is getting some bind and then freeing up and releasing some energy. Also seems like perhaps it's related to the vehicleso pitch motion from accel/decel.

Anyone else have this? Did it appear after not doing it? Anyone know what it is or have any educated guesses? Thanks in advance.

I've already changed my trans fluid twice, put on a higher capacity aluminum pan and changed the trans filter once (being super conservative with her...).
Yep my '23 2dr Badlands does it intermediately . It hasn't concerned me much but I was going to mention it at the next service.

I had the same issue drove me crazy.

Just had my dealer replace the rear driveshaft and it’s fixed. Work with your dealer Ford does not want to fix these things so u have to be persistent.

Now if Ford can get the brake peddle clunk noise fixed I could drive without the music on!!! lol unreal. My friend owns the dealership and every Bronco on lot had the same clunk when u lift up the brake peddle ugh!!!

I'm in the shop for this now (as well as for the rear window recall). Fix is relube with a new teflon lube. Of course I learned more on youtube than the dealer shared.

Apparently they have been through many (3) lubes. Hopefully, this one offers significant longevity. If not, it should have had a zerk fitting...

Looks like Spicer already did so (zerk) for some of their Bronco rear driveshaft upgrades, but I don't think they make a Raptor upgrade.

https://spicerparts.com/parts/driveshaft/performance/ford-bronco

This guy aded a zerk on a GM shaft, but the slip joint is in a very different spot.

@BigMeatsBronco - Any idea if a zerk could be retrofitted on the stock axle slip joint (Raptor or non-Raptor)? It seems like if you could locate a zerk near the end of the female slip joint you might be able to monitor grease expulsion from the opposite boot end.

I've had this issue on 2 Broncos so far both 2dr badlands with 2.7s a 2021 and my 2024 both very low mileage less than 10k when it started. What's the dying fix? A new driveshaft?

When under warranty:

If Ford sells service kit for your driveshaft then it's a boot, grease and new clamps. If not, it's an entirely free/bed driveshaft.

When not under warranty:

DIY like above unless the boot clamps are not available, then try to find alternative/equivalent clamps. If still nothing then OEM or preferably an improved aftermarket drive shaft.

My issue with the first one was convinced them there was a problem, that bronco is long gone thanks to the lemon law. The new one, I'll have to push them for the fix.. thanks!

Mine just started doing this. Coincidently it only started doing it during the warmer summer days. On colder days it doesnt do it at all.
