Lol it's called charging customers an upsell for correction of a fundamental design deficiency. You shouldn't have to spend 80k to get tie rods that don't snap on your first outing.

As with many things, social media and forums greatly exaggerate the issue. I have been wheeling mine fairly hard, been out with 25 Broncos all at the same time at an off road park for several hours, hitting the skid plates, getting crossed up on “log crossing” obstacles, lots of different speeds and terrain, no issues. They certainly seem to be a weak link, but they haven’t broken on any of my off road outings yet.

That being said, I like the control arm skids!
