Yup. I did the front with stainless too. I actually got rid off the plastic factory fastener and used a stainless Allen there too.

Do you remember what size you used to replace the plastic factory fastener? Is that hole threaded?

I had 2 extra threaded clips in the parts bag. So I used a dremel and notched out a little plastic to slide the clip in so it used the same hole as the plastic fastener. It was the same thread as the front fasteners.

Do you have a pick of the portion you had to slice off? I would rather preemptively slice it off.

I am sorry for my slow response and hope this is in time to be helpful. I took this picture this morning. My estimate is that I trimmed off half the thickness/depth. It may be slightly less than that.
