Ok, so I’m loving the dual brushless compressor. But…. Ever time I do more than a top off on tires I melt the hose that came with my kit and have to rebuild at about the third tire. I want to install the manifold from ARB but the darn hose is too short to reach anywhere. Anyone suggestions? Do I need a longer hose? I heard that was a no-no

Look for a braided PTFE hose with 304 stainless steel braid. ARB has one, so does Grimm.

The Grimm hose has a clear PVC cover and has triple chrome plated steel fittings.

The ARB hose doesn't have the cover and has zinc-nickel alloy steel fittings.

They're both good hoses.

I bought the ARB hose, 5 ft long. I'm not using the expansion tank (manifold). I was concerned with the PVC cover trapping moisture. I think the ARB fittings would be more corrosion resistant. I'm putting a PET braid over the hose for protection. I'm installing the air connector inside the right wheel well mounted on the front crash bar.

Just make sure the hose you get is PTFE with 304 stainless braid and JIC-04 fittings. You'll need to buy a suitable elbow fitting.
