I have a 2024 Big Bend M/T on order.

I'm looking for feedback from people with shorter inseam (26" or so) with driving the M/T Bronco.

I've noticed in some reviews of the Bronco with M/T that they mention the low clutch engagement point.

My wife would be driving this occasionally and her inseam is around 26".

I know that the steering column telescopes, but not sure if that totally addresses my concern.

Thanks

My inseam is 29. There's about 2 inches of dead travel before you feel the clutch, then about 4". With the seat and steering wheel adjustments, I imagine she'd be fine. You could always find a used one to test drive.

Took me a second to realize you meant the 7M, 7-speed manual transmission, and not Mud Terrain or Mickey Thompson, haha.

The seat goes really far forward. I would say the clutch is very forgiving and it is one of the easiest--if not the easiest--manual transmissions I have ever driven.

I think inseam isn't a problem if she's comfortable in a more upright seating position like the Bronco has vice a Mustang. The Mustang seating position may be tougher for the small-legged but seeing over the hood to what's immediately in front of the Bronco is tough for short folks.

I’d suggest the Steeda Clutch Spring as well. Easy upgrade and she’ll be able to feel it engage.

Thanks for the response. I changed the thread title to avoid confusion.

It's funny that you mention the Mustang manual trans because that's what I have now. She loves the car but doesn't like to drive it because she can't see over the hood.

That's a good suggestion.

2 Dr 7M here. My wife is 5'3" on her tip toes and she has no problems shifting.

I know in one of the indiana jones movies ‘shorty’ used a block of wood on one pedal )…in my 2 dr BB MT seems to me when i vacuum the seat slides way up and i have cloth but it also seems to have a upright seat if that makes sense but i do notice in traffic thinking the linkage disengages with pedal pretty far down..

My daughter is 5’-2” and has no issues adjusting the seat to work the clutch.

BTW, make sure the next generation can drive a manual!

I'm with you there. Both of my kids know how, and in fact took their driver's skill test in a car/truck with a stick.

Now to teach my grandkids in a few years.

It was already a novelty when my lids learned back in 2002 and 2004.

Thanks for the info about your daughter. That's very helpful.

She must feel like a badass driving a Bronco with a stick.
