MIC top...is it "modular"?

After 4+ months I am still a bit puzzled about the MIC top. All pre-production images and the B&P indicate it is, well, modular. By that I mean it comes apart in sections. There are two front row section, second sections and a rear cap.

So how does it differ from the "modular" roof? I'm specifically asking about the 4-door version.

For the black mod roof you can pop out the two windows in back section/clamshell for the 4 door. The mic cannot do that.

My desire is for the MIC modular and I have no interest in a painted top to get the modular. Wish this was an option.

That’s actually from a post I personally made. I was so tired of typing it up over and over again, I took a screen capture so I can just post the picture now.

I agree. Painted modular top screams chips, scratches and digs in the paint from taking it off and storage. I think the MIC would be more resistant to those.

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere, but what are the pros and cons here... heavier and presumably more soundproof is better? Plus the windows on the modular. All of those seem to be the better option, correct?
