So I’ve read that some people were getting their broncos surprisingly delivered to their dealer without a “shipped” email.

After looking through the different build weeks spreadsheet and some further research, if you are “in production”, your bronco won’t be surprisingly delivered to your dealership. After reading peoples situation, it only happens when you have a “built” but no “shipped” email.

I’m a 12/6 build week and am “in production”. I had hope that my bronco would magically be delivered to my dealer like others have experience. After doing some research, I guess that won’t be the case.

If yours has been delivered while “in production” please update us!

It's a very complex issue. Note the reference to analog semiconductors. These "less smart" semiconductors that use older technologies are in many of the sensors and actuators on today's cars/trucks. They might be "less smart", but they are just as vital...

My build completed September 15th. Still waiting for delivery or even a shipped notification.

Wonder if the chip delay is just 2.7s. Someone posted that 2.7s are on hold, but that was a "my dealer said"

I have also noticed a lot of 2.3 being scheduled in February
My outerbanks 2.7 is bumped from 2/14 to 2/21. Probably gonna be 2/28.

I have modules and a sticker, but no other updates. "In Production 1/3", Estimated delivery date 1/29 - but still pending on the palsapp.

Many others in the 12/20 group are getting baby photos, built status, emails, tracker updates, deliveries, etc. But there's a big group that are in purgatory.
Same for the 1/3 Build Week group.

I was in the market for a '22 Mustang, and my dealer won't even quote me a price because they have no idea when they'd be available. Not that this is by any means a "Ford" problem exclusively.

I love that this could all be solved with a statement from Ford....IE "hey guys if you ordered a XYZ trim and/or XYZ parts you're going to be waiting a few weeks due to a backorder of parts. Also we're low on chips so those builds that only need a chip to ship will get it first followed by chips installed on vehicles as your missing parts come in."....I don't know why I'd expect that though given how this whole thing has gone down.

Funny- I can see the EXACT information the Dealer sees, which is Vehicle Visibility, and for every dealer order bank I look at, the far right column under ETA Disposition, it says "Microchip At Plant On Hold". These are Broncos built in mid december and early January. Also, I seem to remember the press release last summer referring to the Launch of the Bronco not being affected.
Are you able to look up any VIN number? Only reason I’m asking… blend date 12/9 mods popped 12/11 still not produced or build email. No one can tell me anything. Neither Ford bronco specialist or my dealer…😔
EDIT: I want to be clear that it's not all Broncos, only some of them.

The chatter in the build week threads today(1/25) its about delivery delays. Many are experiencing delivery delays to February 28. And I am one of them. I wanted to pass along that my dealer indicated it was a microchip delay. He showed me his order log for my vehicle which had a note on the recent delivery delay. “Micro chip delay”. Real bummer to add to fuel to the fire of many issues.

*** adding some other detail ***
from the trends we are seeing on the build week data, Ford seems to have prioritized the convey orders for the delays. Thus perhaps shorter routes would be easier and quicker to handle the chip install. It’s all makes little sense but trying.

****update ****
I know some doubted the validity of this reason for the recent delay (and I understand why) but I was able to see some Ford communication that verified. I also believe it is a short term issue and Ford has made supply improvements that will take care of this issue going forward. I know execs have made references to this recently. For now some but not all deliveries are held for micro chips.
I have my Bronco but I’m wondering what kind of chip issue it is since Ford is still spitting out F150’s and Rangers and Explorers and is is just Ford, no other manufacturer is struggling?

Good question. There are a lot of chips in a vehicle. It’s has been a problem for all manufacturers and you are right most have it under control now . And I think Ford does too but in this case I think it’s a low inventory bubble holding up some but not all Broncos. It seems to be a short term issue they are managing.

I am experiencing the same thing and was able to connect with a Ford CSR this afternoon. She said when you're using the order tracker, and if it still says in production and it's due to the chip delay, the status date actually reflects the latest date they expect to install the chip. For example, mine says 2/10 and she said that the range for my chip install is 2/4-2/10. She also said it's been fairly accurate and that once the chip is installed, the status will move to "in transit" and the status days will then reflect the true date the vehicle is expected to be "delivered" to the dealer. Alot of details and hope this helps!

In this same situation. Did you run the module search? Is it fully populated with a bunch of numbers like mine?

Delivery just keeps getting pushed every two weeks. Its embarrassing and sad. 1 year anniversary since my order.

Yea my module is populated with a list of numbers. So I guess it has been worked on, but I never got a “built” or “shipped” update.

Yea I feel the pain. Especially when I see 2022 models go for sale. Makes me wonder if it even is the chip issue. Wish I never got the tow package and instead substitute it for the advanced 4x4 goat mode.

Modules just indicate build. The hex code diagnostics don’t yield any meaningful data. A large percentage of broncos were ordered over a year ago including mine. Mine is now in a chip hold. But many broncos are being delivered every day. So it’s not like all are being pushed. I have seen that the tracker estimated delivery dates are often met and of course pushed sometimes. The sticker info and the estimated delivery dates are the key metrics.
