Did you install an external antenna? If so, where and how.
I did, although it's not what I had intended... Midland accidentally sent me the wrong cable and antenna mount to go with the 3db Ghost antenna that I ordered, so while I wait for the correct parts to arrive I temporarily installed the included mag-mount pencil antenna:

This is FANTASTIC. Couple of questions:
- How easy was it to take the panel off and then place it back?
- How are you powering the radio? Aux? Direct to the battery? Or just USB-C to the ports right behind the radio

Panels were easy enough to take off, I just always cringe a little when yanking on plastic... Everything is held in with clips, with the exception of (2) screws on the top/outside edges of the center stack panel that are accessed by opening the glovebox on the passenger side, and dropping the panel below the steering column on the driver side.

I am powering and grounding the radio direct to the battery with 14ga wiring.
