This thing is more like a squad version of the ATVs the Ranger Regiment and 82nd are using to zip around air heads. The JLTV, with some mine resistance protection, being fielded now is actually the HMMWV replacement. The British rolled around in stuff like this in Afghan. Not a good design choice if IEDs are a factor. Don't see the need for this when the MATV is the hummer replacement and side by sides are used for quick raids.

Everytime a civilian says how awesome it would be to own a HMMWV, I describe this. Also the fact that it's maintenance history is going to be circle xThe real test will be sustaining 55mph on the highway and not losing your teeth.
Defense News said this concerning the purpose of it:I don't really see the utility of it....raids maybe? Very low threat environment movement to the objective? I guess they take the place of 5 tons to move troops, but you need one per squad, and they can't take it to the fight, so the squad dumps it when they get close.
Nice, I was looking at this a few months back and forgot about it. Based on what I had seen through videos I preferred Polaris' DAGOR since it had an open cargo design in the back, it looked better for storing more equipment and more practical to a lay a casualty down for CASEVAC.Looks like they focused on the new military vehicle and are getting it out there with lightning speed

light infantry, recon units. sometimes smaller, lighter and less or no armor is better.I don't really see the utility of it....raids maybe? Very low threat environment movement to the objective? Do not become decisively engaged. Break contact.light infantry, recon units. sometimes smaller, lighter and less or no armor is better.
Yeah, raids or recon was what I was thinking. For symmetrical warfare I could see it like that, but occupational asymmetric, obviously not. I got lucky too many times and so did the some of the other platoons with armor.I don't really see the utility of it....raids maybe? Very low threat environment movement to the objective?
