EDIT my pictures seem to have gotten out of order
Well ever since I seen the mirror light blink on a product video I had to have them. Thanks to forum members for posting connector diagrams I got this accomplished today.
On my ‘21 high package the wiring was already in place on the body side. So I swapped the wire from its position as a spot light to the turn signal feed. I put in stub wires on the spot wire location as I’m going to install some relays and diodes and connect my ditch lights to the spot light buttons. I was initially going to keep the spot buttons connected to the mirror lights but after Amber and tint wrap they are too dim to be useful.
Once you release the connector from the support disconnect the connector
then remove the white pin lock.
pull the black inner part out of the connector.
Use a pin removal tool to release the pin and wire.
Then use the tool to release the white block off pin.
insert the wire for the light into where you removed the block out plug. If you’re not going to use the spot light wiring for anything out the white plug back in the original location you move the wire from.
put the connector back together and do the other side.
Go into forscan in the plain English side and turn on the turn signal in the pdm and ddm. Then you are set electrically.
I wrapped the lights in Amber film then tint film only because with my grey/black colors I did not want big amber lights on my mirrors.
the pins I used came from this kit and aren’t 100% identical but lock in and work.
