Hello, looking for help please.
We have a misfiring 2022 bronco wildtrak here in Dubai, UAE. It is USA specs and imported. We had to replace the old engine with a new engine (same engine, 2.7L). We have tried everything to identify the misfiring issue but cannot solve it. It happens more when in S mode or 4L trailing.
We have taken the car to someone who can check out the tuning, to see if they can help us.
We have found that the car was tuned (probably in the USA) with the OLD engine. We didnāt know this information before we swapped into the new engine.
The new engine, I assume, could be (or is) misfiring because itās not aligned with the previously tuned settingsā¦
The problem is, because it was likely tuned in the USA, the tuners are locked out as itās password protected.
Has anyone here come across this before?
Is there a fix, or a way to reset the settings to align with the new engine?
Here in the UAE the garages simply arenāt clued up on this stuff (neither am I, I just want to drive and enjoy the car). And because the car is USA specs itās complicating things even further.
Unfortunately we have had endless problems with this car
Any help is much much appreciated - no one here knows what to do.
Thank you
