FYI probably an oversight here to stay. Realized this on another thread and thought this deserves its own thread. Doubt many noticed this - but the outer banks (roast/navy pier) and First edition (in navy pier) have the middle jumpseat in roast or gray that continues onto the headrest. So when you view the car from the outside looking in, youā€™ll have 4 black headrests (or dark navy) with 1 middle headrest thatā€™s brown or gray.

Iā€™m sure a lot of people may not care much, but it does kind of give the look that you lost a headrest and replaced it with one that came from a car with a different interior color. Definitely a WTF moment for an outsider looking into the car through the front windshield. Weā€™ll wait for this to be highlighted by Doug DeMuro as a quirk since I canā€™t really think of other vehicles that have this. Very strange.

for whatever reason, Ford did it right on the wildtrak and made the jumpseat and headrest black

hmm

It looks by design to me... like the center rear headrest matches the material of the trim portion of the seats, which is also used on the Center seating surfaces.

Iā€™m getting a 2-door, but unless you plan to regularly carry three in the rear, Iā€™d just remove that goofy headrest.

Definitely a quirk, but I prefer it to the alternative (blue headrest on otherwise gray seat).
