I may have missed a few. My favorite was probably the Moto Guzzi Norge. It was full of character, handled fabulously, and was super reliable. My next bike will probably be an MV Agusta. The Bronco will supplement my riding and just give me one more excuse to be outside!

My friend has a m109r, talk about pulling like a freight train!
He just bought a 111 Indian because the M109 tank is so wide he apparently gets annoyed with it on long rides. But, what a bike by Suzuki.
I loved that M109R. It was a candy pearl orange metalflake. Like I said the Harley guys drooled all over it till they found out it was a Suzuki. Like the Bronco vs. Jeep argument. IMO all brands and models have good and bad to them. We can love the Bronco and still respect the Jeep. 4X community....just like the biker community.

School me on the Norge and Explorer.
I’m not quite up to date on Indian models, is the Chieftain similar to a Street Glide, and the Challenger is similar to a Road Glide?
111ci?

My friends 109 and my brothers Harley Breakout, wicked similar bikes, except the suzook has about 100cc more.

Whoops I quoted the wrong person, that was in reference to @OregonHighlander

I'll just list the 3 most 'recent', since I tend to keep and ride them for quite a while. (most of the time) Sadly the only picture I have at the moment, is of the KTM. (don't mind the STi in the background. I sold that 2 weeks ago)

Do you ever miss the simplicity and assumed light weight of the Honda? Or are the Harleys stonkin’ engine and bells and whistles addictive?

how do the VTX and harley engines compare?
The VTX and Road Glide are actually pretty comparable performance-wise despite the Harley weighing more and having a slightly smaller engine (103 cu in = 1687cc).

Weights (dry) of the bikes: Honda 1100 =575; Honda 1800 = 714; Harley = 900
The Hondas both had shaft drives which were very smooth shifting, though both the VTX and Harley have a tendency to "clunk" when shifting into 1st (might be a hydraulic clutch thing, but it is common on both bikes).
I don't seem to have to downshift my Harley as much as I did with the VTX, despite the Harley having a six-speed transmission vs the VTX's five-speed.

The nicest thing about the Road Glide is the wind management. The fixed fairing and the lowers knock down the majority of any wind so I don't get as tired as I did on either Honda. Even when I test rode a Street Glide, you could still feel the wind trying to push the bike around because of the fork-mounted fairing.

That's basically right, except I'd say the RG and Challenger are a lot more different than the SG and Chieftain are.

But SG and Chieftain have fork-mounted fairings and similar features across the board.

The Challenger and RG have frame-mounting fairings, but differ in a lot of respects. The Challenger has a liquid-cooled engine that spins a lot higher, so it has a "sportier" feel in terms of the engine itself. But in terms of general market and basic appearance, they are pretty similar.

The VTX and Road Glide are actually pretty comparable performance-wise despite the Harley weighing more and having a slightly smaller engine (103 cu in = 1687cc).

Also had a VTX 1800c for awhile. Fun bike. One reason it took a long time to talk myself into swapping out for a newer bike was that the X matched them pretty well. However, the 5-speed was a bit of a pain for long-distance highway cruising. The RG sits a bit higher but definitely does a better job with wind management, due to the fairing. But you can easily drop a fairing onto an X. One thing to know about shaft drives (other than they are very reliable and require virtually no maintenance) is that they are the least efficient bike final drive in terms of HP at the wheel coming close to HP at the crank. So the X loses more HP than the Harley does. The X is, though, just a super-reliable bike. Those things will run forever.

Man, the Rush and Brutale 1000-RR are sexy BEASTS! Thankfully, I most likely wouldn't fit on one (6ft 8in), even IF I had a high enough death wish!
