@SierraBronco I am still surprised you haven't reworked the trailing arm setup yet. Might wheel better with less rear travel as it will have less rear steer and more control placing rear tires.

@SierraBronco I am still surprised you haven't reworked the trailing arm setup yet. Might wheel better with less rear travel as it will have less rear steer and more control placing rear tires.

Nothing limit straps cant fix, but so far the rear steer hasn’t really been an issue. I actually just extended the limit straps to give additional droop and see what that’s like.

But I do want to get rid of the wishbone three link and go to a traditional three link with panhard bar.

If rear steer is not a problem I am curious as to why you want to change the wishbone to a traditional? what are you experiencing that would be different?

Do you think you are getting more lateral movement with the wishbone?

You need to watch how the vehicle acts as you load up the suspension while crawling. Short link allow the geometry to change making rear lift instead of squat. Nose down the rear suspension will uncompress making it very tippy. I think you already have experienced this on the previous setup.

Looking at going to traditional three link as the wishbone is subjected to huge amounts of stress when wheeling.

And yeah, with the D44 the antisquat was pretty neutral and we didn’t have much lifting from the back under throttle. But going to D60 and lifting that third link connection and using the original OEM frame mounting locations put us above 100% and we now have lifting. Good for climbing, not as much for descents. Going to a conventional three link will give us the flexibility to fix that and get us back to neutral, reduce the axle steer, and put those lateral forces onto the panhard.

@5GENIDN kinda funny-the last time we were in Moab we were on the trail and something just seemed off. At one point I had a few people pushing on the body to rock it back-and-forth while I was under the Bronco looking at that third link and using my phone to record the top because I felt like it may have broken. Everything seemed OK and we finished the trip without issue. I asked Vasher if anyone had broken one yet and he said no one not even the prototype like we had. About a week later that third link finished breaking pulling into the driveway.

The new one is much more robust, but I’m still concerned

WOW! Got to admit that is surprising. That seemed pretty damn robust. Obviously I have not been keeping up. I assume the anti squat is also an issue.
