I’ve read all the posts on possible locations for the MXT575 but would like to hear from those that installed it under the center counsel. Any tip or suggestions? Photos would be great also. Thank you!

Do you have any other photos of this install?I have been reading different threads about mounting the MXT575 and from what I have found, it will not fit under the center console Like the the MXT275 does. Like @SwampCactus mentioned above, I ended up mounting my 575 on the backside of the fuse box as not to waste usable storage space like the glove box.

I also ran a RJ45 extension cable over to the panel below the temp controls in order to plug in the hand mic.

I also used the Mountains2metal bracket. Worked awesome and don't impact the glove box at all.I don't have any experience with a center console install, but I followed this glove box install for my 575 and it went very smooth. Wired it to outfitter switch #6 and used a pro clip mount for the mic. Install was very straightforward and the end result I was very happy with.

It’s not a fancy install, the Midland bracket is just zip tied to the back of the fuse panel bracket.Do you have any other photos of this install?
Thanks!
Did you have to drill the tunnel for the radio bracket bolt or use one that was there? Do you recall how thick the nylon washer was? Thanks to this current thread and this thread, I was able to install my MXT575 under the center console in a few hours today. Instead of wiring the power to the wire behind the glove compartment, since I was already pulling the antenna cable through the firewall grommet areas, I pulled the power wires through there as well. Negative wire to the body where the battery connects, and the positive wire to the green/brown cable that's wired to the AUX2 switch (15 amp).
Under the center console, mine had more room than the prior pictures, I have a 2023 Badlands w/Lux package for reference. Note that part of the Midland radio does touch the bottom of the wireless charging base that comes with the trim level I have.
I did use a small spacer underneath the mount as pictured below, and drilled the hole in the mounting bracket a little wider to accommodate the bolt. I went with the same Cat6 port ArizonaGreg did. For holding the mic, I have a ProClip on the way and will use that with a Magnetic Mic. They have not arrived yet, so the mic is just sitting in the pocket.

I did not need to drill. I removed the bolt on the forward left side of the transmission tunnel and used it to go through the bracket and the spacer. The nylon spacer is 1/4" thick.Did you have to drill the tunnel for the radio bracket bolt or use one that was there? Do you recall how thick the nylon washer was?
