I could not justify spending the money on a brand name rear seat delete kit, so I decided to make something that works for my needs.
I folded the 40% rear seat down to put my cooler box and cooler bag on. My dog can still sit comfortably. Plus, food is more secure inside and doesn't have to come out of the car when camping.
For the rear, I built a couple of very simple platforms and painted them black. This will allow me to fit everything I need inside the car without having to remove everything to grab one thing... The height allows my 5lbs Ignik propane tank to sit upright underneath the platform along with a 20g Scepter jerry can for water and my Rinsekit Pro.
And I can still access the lower compartment. I just had to slice the cargo mat on both sides.
Not bad for less than $50 and a couple of hours of work. Here is a short video before I painted it.
