I've been working on my Bronco since 2021 slowly upgrading it, and it's been an absolute blast! The Bronco6G forum has been a fantastic resource for ideas so thank you. I've gone on multiple off-roading/camping trips, from Big Bend to the Grand Canyon to Colorado. With hopefully more to come since I try to do at least 2-3 camping/off road trips a year. The truck has held up extremely well with very few things to complain about.

I'll include pics below on what it first looked like when I received my Bronco to what it is today.

Really appreciate the list and the thought you've put into upgrades over time. Like you, I don't need the vehicle to be "shiny", I need it to be as functional as practical for my sometimes epic adventures %^)
I'm about to order a Wildtrak, and was contemplating getting it with the usual accessories, like steps, and other things that honestly I should do aftermarket myself and get exactly what suits me.
Unlike most, I am big into radios and electronics. I'm a ham, have two multiband radios in my Tahoe, 7 rooftop antennas, an APRS tracker (allows me to leave a snail track visible to others on the Internet), an ADS-B aircraft location receiver, two scanners, a second battery system (100 Ah LiFePo4) that's isolated from the house battery, 120 W solar panel, Under the rear seat is a Windows PC, and there's a 10" touchscreen monitor on a stalk on the passenger side of the center console. Bunch of software running on that, including my webcam software for the Mobius ActionCam up in front of the rear-view mirror.
In studying the Bronco a bit, I know I'm going to have to come up with new ways to fit this type of stuff into it, without cluttering the vehicle more than necessary.
When I'm offroad, it's places like SE Utah, AZ, or the Mojave desert, where 6' ramps, 10 gallons of extra fuel, and 20 gallons of water give me a warm fuzzy. Even with the Tahoe, that's hard to fit! Nonetheless, I've come up with ways to make it work without fundamentally impeding the utility of the truck when just puttering around town. The antennas stay on, so parking structures are a nuisance, but generally avoidable.

It’s the one item on this list I haven’t officially installed. I put it on there since I just got it. The camera you are seeing is a GoPro. I have two options for wiring. Run it to the middle console and use the 12v or run the wire to the battery. Still haven’t decided but will prob run it to the battery. Will go on the top right hand corner next to the mirror.

I also considered running it to the aux since it’s easier like I did the midland through the glovebox but want to save the last two switches for something else.

I bought the Molle panels on Amazon and mounted it to it with the titan straps. I had to buy small rubber things to put on the back so it wouldn’t rattle against the metal. Worked out really well rather than just leaving it flat in the trunk. One of the pics shows it as well.

The nice thing about getting the NMO (New MOtorola) mount is that you can put on a real antenna, not that little stubby thing. The stubby thing is best up on the roof, but still suboptimal. It was a compromise antenna, in order to allow police and other antenna-equipped vehicles to get into low parking structures, which are all too common nowadays.

I thought about getting the larger antenna but I really liked the ghost antenna. Never really felt I needed more than 5 miles of range since it was more about caravaning with other cars on the hwy or offroad purposes.

I might add it down the road and mount it on the back of the vehicle next to the rotopax. Thanks for the tip!

I've been working on my Bronco since 2021 slowly upgrading it, and it's been an absolute blast! The Bronco6G forum has been a fantastic resource for ideas so thank you. I've gone on multiple off-roading/camping trips, from Big Bend to the Grand Canyon to Colorado. With hopefully more to come since I try to do at least 2-3 camping/off road trips a year. Really appreciate the list and the thought you've put into upgrades over time. Like you, I don't need the vehicle to be "shiny", I need it to be as functional as practical for my sometimes epic adventures %^)
I'm about to order a Wildtrak, and was contemplating getting it with the usual accessories, like steps, and other things that honestly I should do aftermarket myself and get exactly what suits me.
Unlike most, I am big into radios and electronics. I'm a ham, have two multiband radios in my Tahoe, 7 rooftop antennas, an APRS tracker (allows me to leave a snail track visible to others on the Internet), an ADS-B aircraft location receiver, two scanners, a second battery system (100 Ah LiFePo4) that's isolated from the house battery, 120 W solar panel, Under the rear seat is a Windows PC, and there's a 10" touchscreen monitor on a stalk on the passenger side of the center console. Bunch of software running on that, including my webcam software for the Mobius ActionCam up in front of the rear-view mirror.
In studying the Bronco a bit, I know I'm going to have to come up with new ways to fit this type of stuff into it, without cluttering the vehicle more than necessary.
When I'm offroad, it's places like SE Utah, AZ, or the Mojave desert, where 6' ramps, 10 gallons of extra fuel, and 20 gallons of water give me a warm fuzzy. Even with the Tahoe, that's hard to fit! Nonetheless, I've come up with ways to make it work without fundamentally impeding the utility of the truck when just puttering around town. The antennas stay on, so parking structures are a nuisance, but generally avoidable.
