I've searched and searched and I can't get my head around it!
I am all set to buy some tires and rims from the tire rack (17x8.5 00mm offset) or (17x8.5 -10mm offset)
All ready to check out with some 33's (haven't settled on which yet) and it says aggressive fitment, now I'm freaked out and I don't understand all of this, what happened to the days when you point and throw them on the vehicle!

So confusing, I have a Big Bend 2 door stock....UGH!

I know there are a million threads on this, I've tried and tried to understand

They just put those terms for buyer to be aware and that way they don’t sue or hold them liable if mpg’s drop or any other crazy road issue happens like that tire/wheel that rolled off that pickup and launched the Kia or Hyundai 20 ft in the air last week.

Costco is known not to install tires if it’s a certain rating too high for what their calculations put out.

That looks SWEET! Any rubbing issues at all? I HOPEFULLY have a BD coming after almost 2 years and was hoping to put 33s on without a lift or serious rubbing.

See that looks great, BUT does 00mm mean more poke or less?
00mm offset would be less poke (6mm less).

I just went through all this, but with new 17x9 wheels. For 33" tires and 17x8.5 wheels you probably want a 285/70r17 tire size. You can go a little skinnier or fatter depending on the look you're going for (295/70r17 would be a bit more aggressive and might have rubbing issues, but you could get away with it).

This website was super helpful for me: https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=285-70r17-295-70r17

Unless you want plenty of tire poke, I'd stick with the 0mm offset. On 17x8.5 with 285/70 tires you'll still be a bit outside the standard flares for an aggressive look without being too far out there.

is that -6 offset?

I have been told less but could be wrong...
Yes -6 offset with a 9" wide wheel. That will be slightly different than an 8" wheel with -6

When you look at wheels and offset/backspacing, you have to take the wheel width into account with the offset. Here's a chart to give a rough idea of backspacing. Start with the Sasquatch wheels that are 17x8.4 with around +30 mm offset. I just installed the Pro Comp 1069's which are 17x9 with -6 offset with 35x12.5x17 (almost the same as 315/70/17) tires so they stick out around 1.5" more than stock. Keep asking questions and for pictures of different combos. If you go with 17x9, you probably want to keep it around +18 to 0 offset with the Sas fender flares. Non Sas flares are an inch or more narrower so you would want +25 to +10 with non Sas flares.
