I have a bag of zip ties in mine and have used them far more often than expected. Last time was to repair a baseball glove so one of the kids on the team I was helping coach was able to keep playing in the game.

I dig the setup. I would just be weary to add another 12+lbs of weight to the swing gate.

As an old guy (LOL) I learned long ago that a mediocre tool is better than no tool when you need one most. I have a garage full of the finest tools, but this is tool kit I keep in my new Braptor. I have identical kits in my other daily drivers (TRX and Maverick).

Under the rear floor of my Braptor is a new, oversize DV8 storage/compressor box. While it's much larger than the factory box, I have no compressor, but I can store my modest recovery gear, gloves, shackles, ratchet straps, battery jump box, large lawn and leaf bags, etc.etc..

There's little I own from Harbor Freight, but I keep a fresh moving blanket and a small, heavy tarp in the trucks. For tools, here's the HF 130 piece kit mounted to my DV8Offroad rear Molle panel. It's a nice assortment for daily use, priced at $40, I recall I purchased mine on sale for $30. It fits perfectly in the fold-down shelf on my rear molle panel. Below the tool kit is a small, fresh, heavy tarp. While I don't really do any off-roading, when I believe I'll be at additional risk on my 1000 mile fishing trips, I take additional tools...

I used to tell the people in the shop, "I can fix anything with a pair of vise grips and a hammer". :ROFLMAO: ;)

That is actually a pretty solid spot to hold tools... That gives me an idea.

That seems like a bad place to mount a toolkit.... Unless you never use your tailgate table. I use mine pretty much every time I am off-road and I sleep in the back too. Being 6 ft I can't spare the inches that this mounting location takes away from the trunk space.
I'm with you. I am 6'1" and also barely fit in the back for sleeping. No can do with anything mounted on that side of the tailgate. I keep a much more modest toolkit in the back floor storage area.
