Nutsert tool recommendation?

My only experience with installing nutserts is manually using the screw and 2bolts method. Thinking about buying a tool to do it instead.

Any recommendations?

I have a cheapo Amazon tool that works fine. That said, its only been used a half a dozen times over the years.

I kind of like the one your looking at because it comes with a case. Mine sits in a box on a shelf because there is no room in my tool boxes. There are several similar versions on Amazon.

I agree, buy the cheapest one you can find. Seen one for $40 a little while ago. It would be a different story if you used it every day.

Harbor freight tools has them reasonably priced and they work well in my experience

eBay has a ton and many come with a much wider range of sizes.

I have the Smittybilt one you linked above, and it works great for larger nutserts, I use it pretty regularly.

I also have the Harbor Freight one https://www.harborfreight.com/45-piece-threaded-insert-riveter-kit-1210.html That works great for small rivnuts, and you can get the nuts for it cheap at HF too.

Astro makes a solid RivNut tool that I have had for 20+ years and used occasionally. Very handy stuff for quality fastening.
