New Bronco Options-The Refrigerator/Freezer

Hey folks,
I recently took delivery of my Bronco and some of the options that I ordered from the build selection page were not available at the time of delivery. I went by the dealership yesterday and picked up the TB18 Travelbox refrigerator/freezer. When I originally ordered the truck, the information available made the fridge sound like it was installed at the console. There is another fridge on the Ford accessories site that’s for the rear cargo area, this is not that fridge. Having taken it out of the box, the fridge doesn’t seem like it goes with the truck as it doesn’t look like it would mount anywhere in the truck. Did anyone else order the console fridge option and if so, can you enlighten me?

The TB18 appears to be just a generic portable freezer. I even saw it advertised for boats.

Definitely not going to fit in the Console. Dometic has a Console fridge for the F-series ford only and expedition (2015-2020 F150, 2017 and up F250, 350) and 18 and up expedition) what you have there just looks like a portable fridge

Thanks, I do believe you’re right. The instructions did state that you could mount it in the vehicle with the mounting brackets (which weren’t in the box), or use the straps and carry it around (which were in the box). I guess I’m just surprised that it was an option at the time I placed the order for the truck and it really doesn’t fit anywhere.

Surely it fits in the cargo area? That's where they typically go.

I had that on my build but took it off in case it delayed the order. Going to get a nice Dometic instead.

The new Bronco isnt really wide enough for a console fridge. I have a 22L one that I installed in my 96 Bronco as a total console replacement. The problem with your Bronco is all the shifters and controls in the console. Putting a fridge in between the seats would be a major interior redesign. I dont like having the fridge in the rear cargo area as it is not convienent for road trips or cruising daily use. However I would imagine that the smaller one that you got would probably work behind the front seats as long as there isnt a passenger on that side.

This is why I was a little dissappointed to hear that the Bronco was on the ranger platform instead of the f150. I would have liked a slimmed full size instead of a puffed up midsize.
