What is a Panhard Bar?
In the off-road world, Panhard Bars, or Rods, are often referred to as "Track Bars". The Panhard bar was named for its first manufacturer and is essential for control and maneuverability. It is used to retain a solid axle laterally, or side to side. It acts as a stabilizer, reducing the side-to-side roll of a vehicle by restricting lateral movement and better aligning the wheels with the center of the vehicle. It's bolted to the rear axle and frame of the vehicle, allowing the rear wheels to move up and down, but not left to right (laterally).

Why do I need a Relocation Bracket?
Panhard issues can occur when you lift your vehicle, causing the angle to change, and wheels to be offset. An adjustable bar and/or relocation bracket can solve this by restoring the lateral geometry. The BOSS relocation bracket moves the axle housing mounting point upward to correct the alignment, restoring the geometry, and bringing the rear suspension roll center to your Bronco's center of gravity.

What is the net vertical relocation distance? Looks to be around 2” or so. Hard to tell from photos.

It's right at 2.5". I will take a more accurate picture off the vehicle on Monday.

No worries. That is good enough. Can’t see without my reading glasses so I sometimes type complete crap. 😂

@Boss Broncos I received my bracket and installed this past weekend. I noticed the new 5/8 bolt to hold the panhard bar in the bracket appears to be a little too short. Torqued down the threads don’t reach the nylon on the nut. Seems to 1/4 too short. I’m concerned this could be a safety issue considering what happens if the nut loosens and the bolt backs out.

Thank you for letting us know, and sorry we didn't catch that! We will look into this and see what the difference is because it definitely goes all the way through the nut on our Bronco. I'm thinking we were sent thicker washers because the bolt size is the same. I'll let you know soon and make it right.

That would make sense. Thanks for the quick reply.

Any update on this issue?
They replied to me saying they were going to send out new washers and nuts to people who bought the kit.
