New here with 2dr Black Diamond

Pulled the trigger on a 2023 Black Diamond to daily drive while I do a diesel swap on my Brabus G wagon. I have a 74 Sport as well but it is not suited to 7 hour weekly drives. I will do small and slow upgrades to the BD as time permits but I have the G, a 71 GTO Judge and 73 Trans Am to contend with for heavy work before doing anything major. I like the ride so far in the BD and the "poverty" appearance appeals to me as well. I am. manual fan so my options were pretty limited to models in the lineup and some creature comforts I would prefer are not present, such is life. I will have to upgrade the sound system as factory is rarely to my style and to top it off mine also won the sub delete lottery.

I look forward to reading and learning as well as admiring some of the modifications you are doing on your rides.

It's not a knock, steel wheels and basic packages have always been called "poverty" in the muscle car world. I could have snagged any trim I wanted, this one spoke to me. I read many reviews and issues with climate controls and other tech people were getting in the new models. This one is much closer to the basics of my '74 Bronco which is exactly what I wanted.

That's a term I haven't heard in awhile, poverty spec was used when I was younger, along with the dog dish hubcaps, 2/40 air conditioning and whatever else to indicate that you couldn't afford to option up.

OP didn't mean anything bad, most of the high demand classics either have all the options or none of them. I wish we still had the ability to run thru and select our own options instead of everything being an upsale tucked in a package or higher trim.

Nice collection BTW, BD was my original choice before Heritage, wish I still had my first car which was a 68 Firebird 400, always wanted an early T/A but out of my price range. At least 40 years of wanting a Bronco I'm finally getting one, albeit a new one.

BD is the best spec, other than forcing you to take MGV. If I could have got cloth on the BD, I'd have paid a lot more for my Bronco (BD from Base). But, no way was I willing to have vinyl seats in a place that routinely gets above 115 degrees in the shade.
