It looks great in the night time shots. But I notice that the 3 factory lights are much brighter.
Does this meet FMVSS for a 3rd brake light? Day time is my concern.

Our light is actually brighter than the factory HMSL but the luminosity is spread over a larger surface area. This product meets SAE J186a but because it is obscured by the wheel (different wheel designss will allow different levels of light to pass through). It looks great in the night time shots. Looks great, thanks for sharing!
We totally understand your opinion on t-taps, yes if you have soldering experience that is a better route to go. But remember most DIY installers need aids like like these to keep wiring simple in order to install the product without the need to bring it to a professional.I installed mine tonight and I went a different route in wiring it up. The included wire taps or whatever they are called are the biggest pieces of s**t I have seen. Other than those the product is .
This product should help correct that issueI'm thinking I'm going to have to order this for the wife's Bronco. I installed the 4WP spare tire relocation bracket to raise the spare up in order to hook up our offroad camper trailer and now she's complaining that her rearview mirror is significantly blocked due to the 3rd brake light and her being on the short side.

No thanks.
I don't have an issue with the wiring. I don't like the idea of screwing it into the plastic spare carrier. It'll just rattle loose eventually. Based on the video that's what it looks like was done.As addressed in my previous post if you have soldering experience that is a better route to go.
