The Ford graphics kit finally arrived last week.
It is getting professionally installed today.
I stopped in this morning to see how it was going.
Wow, it is a lot of work and lot more complicated than I thought it would be.

A lot of cutting and trimming and heating and stretching and so on.
I sure hope it turns out nice.

Also looks like a good thing I bought the lower rocker guards/pinch weld covers.
The kit does not really cover that very lower portion.

He also offers the windshield protective film for the exterior I was looking for.
So, getting that done as well.

I think we are going to try and put the rock sliders back on over the pinch weld covers only pull the step portion off of them. I want to try it without steps for a week or two before ordering the AMP power steps. The OEM steps I have are really seem too high and seem in the way more than helpful.

I will post up some new pictures once I get it back.

I took these the other day when I went off reading a bit, before it went for the current work.

I think the overall goal to elongate the appearance in a visual sense, make it less stubby looking, I do feel the approach I took here with adding these graphics and removing the steps has worked.

Factory available “hoop steps” widely available in 23' and yes a detachable step but the rail isn’t built the same as the factory “rock rail,” won’t hold vehicle’s weight.

That’s interesting, I didn’t realize they were different.
That may mean finding the plugs I am needing could turn into bigger problem to find then I thought.

Yeah, per the build and price option description additional details pop-up, a Bronco Nation post last year and currently shown in the Ford Performance catalog:
“Ford has confirmed that the rail for the Hoop Step option has a different profile than the Bronco’s available rock sliders, and that it will not hold the weight of the vehicle.”
What plugs are you referring to that you’re trying to find?

I thought I could get the plugs for the rock slider, thinking it was the same part.
There are two square ish holes on the top of the rock slider for the steps to hook into.
I thought I just needed to call the Ford dealer and order the rock slider plugs. However being different parts one with step and a totally different one without a step, I am betting there isn’t any plugs to had.

Sorry I thought it was 2 holes per side it’s 4. I put a light on there and saw it was actually 4 square holes I need caps or plugs for. Here are some better pics.

No holes/plugs along the length of the regular rock rails, solid tube end to end, mounting bracketry is welded on. 🤷‍♂️

Great news on the rock slider plugs . I was digging around in the glove box last night and found a baggy of little rectangular black plugs or covers.
Yep, sure enough was the correct qty, that I had holes looking at the little instruction paper in the bag , seemed to be related to the rock slider steps.

Sure enough I had the needed plugs or covers all along. Got them installed last night.

Selling my AT4X and thought I would play around a bit trying the custom wheels and tires I had I. The AT4X on the Bronco.
What do you think?
If I end up keeping them on the Bronco.
I do have a duty rim, just need to order another tire and would have a matching spare to mount on the back.

My ordered Bronco was likely never to get built.
Heck it really was not technically ever even accepted by Ford into the order bank.

My local dealer still could not even place my order in the order bank. I gave them the order last summer.

Anyway, as news came out recently that they were out of components again and it was sounding like even if they had put my order in, it would never gotten built with the all the high-end options I wanted.

I turned on some nationwide search alerts with Autotrader and Cars.com for a 2023 Bronco in the Spec I was after, finally got a hit this week, one 1200 miles away in VA. I went ahead and hit the online dealer check availability button. That VA dealer called about an hour later, it was really there, it was really available.
It was really in near identical spec to my order.

Anyway I am now an owner of a 2023 Ford Bronco 2dr Badlands.

I think it looks pretty good. I saw someone with a steel Badlands badge, that would look great in place of the orange one that's stock, since I think you've replaced all the other orange accents.

Damn - I REALLY want the key pad but the black is so ugly. Wish there was a frame or something I could put around it to get it to look as clean as yours.
Remount it inside the Fuel door.
