Now, we know that Squatch will be a late availability , but the B&P has really made me wonder about the 4 door.
Has there been any comment from Ford regarding this that I have missed?

Also, if there are any NOT in the know, Ford has announced the B&P will not include ManSquatch until it is available....whatever the hell that means, as we should be able to "order" one at order time....but it will be delayed.

In the "preliminary" order guide, it was mostly clear that manual would be in 2 door only (except Badlands)....but I have a feeling that the guide was not corrected for the latest "revision" to include more manual options, such as ManSquatch.

In the end....nobody really knows!!! LOL

I wish it was $1600 cheaper and had a stick. I could then get a 2.7 for just a few hundred bucks more.

No it's not.

You're talking about mid-package with manual.

A manual is available on BB, BD and BL.

OBX doesn't have it and WT only because it's defaulted to a v6.

The OP is right though. It's odd that don't offer it on the base trim as most manufacturers only offer manuals on base trims.
The manual transmission is not available with the mid package on the Black Diamond or the Big Bend according to the order guide. If you select the mid package it includes the automatic transmission on those trims. That’s why @Bauer was saying the manual with the mid package is a premium option. It also means the automatic is more expensive on the Badlands then it is on the Big Bend and the Black Diamond.

I just saw this thread and I agree completely. Kind of leaves me out in the cold. Ford doesn't care about entry and mid level customers anymore.
Or... It will not handle the load. Everything I've read leads me to think that the 7 speed Chinese made (from what I heard) 7 speed is not up to the task. Had to research if it was up to the task before the mansquatch, hence the late delivery. Not available with the 2.7 in any configuration. Not available in a 4 door in any configuration. Red flags all over the place...

Uh, the manual is available in 4dr on multiple trims, the current issues are not showing up on base even though ford apparently said it would be, not being able to build and price manual with Sasquatch because it’s late availability so ford won’t add it to B&P til later and also not being allowed to add mid package except on badlands. None of those are for capability reasons. It wasn’t designed to mate up to the 2.7 which while in a lot of people’s opinions is stupid, that doesn’t mean the trans wouldn’t handle it. People get that idea from the torque numbers on the 2.7 being close to the max scalable torque rating for the trans(it’s still under that, but some tuning would put it over). And even if that’s true that it couldn’t handle the 2.7, that’s by fords decision, they got getrag to make them the transmission, they told them what to make, so they chose not to make it for the 2.7. But ford didn’t have to research anything, they had the trans built to the specs they wanted, and the manufacturer page says exactly what the transmission is rated for, for instance it is way more capable in a towing application than the bronco will ever be. And being Chinese made on its own is fairly meaningless, pretty much everything has Chinese made parts in it nowadays, even if it’s not fully assembled in China. Not saying it’ll be perfect or anything, but I’ll reserve judgment til I can actually drive it, no reason to do otherwise. I do think ford keeps screwing over the manuals, but it doesn’t seem to be a capability thing to me, it’s a ford decision making thing.
