Any reason for this?
Why spend money for the 2.7 when "Normal and Eco" gimps the engine......

Itā€™s got Baja mode instead which is the same but locks the locker. Just disable the locker after popping it into Baja and rip it.

The Badlands is very specifically their OFF-ROAD trim. I get it, 90% of them will be on road drivers and I wish it had it too, but I understand why it was skipped to add another mode.

From preliminary reports, there can only be 7 GOAT modes. Since Badlands has the sway bar disconnect, they added Rock mode and removed Sport mode.

Sport mode and Baja Mode are nearly identical except Baja mode is 4H and Sport Mode is 2H/4A.

Hopeful The GOAT modes allow you to further tweak. So if you can pick Baja mode and switch to 2H/4A, that would accomplish the same.

It gets Rock Crawl.
That's the right one for me over Sport.
WT doesn't get rock Crawl.

This topic has been talked about quite a bit...

Baja is the same as Sport but is in 4H. Change it to 2H and you have Sport. Done.

it is not like it would turn into a Ferrari with sport mode...it is still a 4x4 brick. I get it but I think Baja would be more useful over sport on a truck.

But if you change it to 2H the Baja mode will disengage and youā€™re back to ā€œNormalā€ mode
Baja only works when you are in 4H

Is that confirmed?
No, and neither is what you said. Gotcha!!! ?

Nobody knows the answer to any of those questions until somebody does a hands on walk through of the modes.

This is as good as it gets for the moment:

I wonder what Baja exactly does in this vehicle. Baja in the Raptor turns off abs, traction, keeps the turbos spooled and etc. Not exactly ideal for most street drivers.

Ha! Very true, but I had a Focus RS where you can toggle modes and then traction control, so I know Ford makes it possible for you to toggle pre-selected options when you select modes.

Boom goes the dynamite.

On Raptor you can switch the drive mode while staying in the selected terrain mode. Some combinations you can't get like Rock Crawl and 4x2 but most are available.
Thatā€™s cool. In a Mustang MachE you can drive the car with only battery power.

Im just being silly, but yes other models have other features. Without knowing for sure, we shouldnā€™t assume and give people answers that might not be true.
Weā€™ll have to wait and see.
