I’ve got a 2 door Bad Mansquatch. 2022 with 16K. I’ve taken 3 long road trips (TX to CO and TX to UT) and the rig is very easy to drive at 80 mph. It is loud though, so I upgraded the base sound system.
The manual was the main reason I pulled the trigger on a Bronco. I’ve still got a ‘13 Land Cruiser which is very capable and quiet, but lacks the fun factor. The Bronco manual is very good. I’ve never had any problems with it and the crawler gear is great for serious off-roading (Imogene Pass, Canyonlands). The power is more than adequate, but it’s no Cayenne (a previous, misguided purchase).
The last manual jeep I drove was a ‘64, so I can’t comment on their current manual.
The seats in the Bronco are very comfortable to me, but I’m only 5’9”. The Marine Grade vinyl is great, but it does get hot.
All in all, I’m happy with the manual and the 2.3. I only have the hardtop and have only taken the front panels off. I have installed the severe duty steering package. The interior, outside of the seats is flimsy, but I can live with it.

It's weird to me you cannot get the 6 cylinders with the manual - seems like a heavy vehicle for a 4 cylinder, especially with the Sasquatch package. Any of ya'll have manual with Sasquatch - how is it?
I have a 4 door Badlands with manual. The Badlands is the heaviest of all the Bronco models except for the Everglades and Raptor. I've driven it from Phoenix (1140 ft) to Flagstaff (6900 ft) with no problems including the steep grades. It easily maintained any speed that traffic would allow. Also passing is no problem, including passing a semi on a steep grade. I'm a leadfoot. My previous daily driver was a Subaru WRX wagon. Even on grades I'm still one of the faster moving objects.

I have a TrailRax rack. The standard stereo has no difficulty dealing with the wind noise even at 80-85 mph.

Trust me, I know all about getting passed by mini-vans back in my Miata days! They say it's better to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow but that goes out the window when a hopped up soccer mom is late for school drop-off on your rear bumper!

And...

The chart is comparing a 7-speed manual to an 8-speed automatic.

Where's the comparision chart for the Sienna with the manual tranny?? 🤣🤣😘😘

The Bronco is my first off-road vehicle. Prior to this I had never even been off-roading :) I have looked at Jeeps before and they just never did it for me....I always found something I didn't like enough not to purchase one (especially that dreadful interior that makes you feel squished up against the dashboard. Talk about the worst ergonomics ever. UGH). Since 2007 I've been driving BMWs. Mostly "M" cars and then finished in 2022 with an X3 SUV. Was going to get a Defender then test drove one and I was appalled at the quality, especially at that price point. Ridiculous. Then my Bronco arrived, after about 1.5 years of waiting.....I almost gave it up cause I had forgotten about the reservation I made ages ago. Then, I succumbed to a test drive just for giggles....and I giggled on the way home with it :cwl: I was just blown away at how well designed it was - and still am (minus those stupid floppy windows we all have.....you'll understand when you get yours).

So - Manual tranny.....I almost got one, but I figured since 4-door I opted for the 10 speed. IF I did end up getting a 2 door, I would have gotten the manual. I have several friends, in our off-roading group, who have the manual and it rocks! Go for it.

Convertible top - factory one sucks. I have a hardtop but also did get the BestTop Sunrider (only passenger and drivers side cloth convertible top. Especially for a 2 door - I would HIGHLY recommend it. Keep your rear hardtop shell and have this for flipping open. Built VERY well and I have gone through rain and multiple carwashes with it. SOLID.

Tires - get Toyo Open Country M/Ts......Love mine.

I'm excited for you and also jealous that you will be experiencing the "joy of having a Bronco" from the very beginning :) We are all here to help you out anytime!!! Welcome!

** note: About 85% of all "real-world" testing Ford did in all those different countries and harsh environments were done primarily with the 2.3 engine. Just so you know ;)
