Yes!!!

If I had to get a Bronco now, I would get the Heritage. Since Ford did away with Base, and did away with cloth seats (which are a deal breaker for me), Heritage is the only model that still checks all my requirements.
Clearly the best value for the money if going Sas (including the non-sas BL's). Added bonus, you get the Everglade's fenders.

Greetings:

I'm only beginning my research into Broncos.

Let's get off to a poor start - for the record, I don't really want to be here because I prefer Wranglers; however, I also really like manual transmissions and the current Wrangler manuals have a tendency to disintegrate, catch fire, and burn the entire vehicle to the ground. I could forgive that had Jeep gotten serious about fixing it, but they addressed it with a software update which boggles my mind.

The Getrag manual is an enormous plus in my mind. Another huge advantage of the Bronco is the seating. Ford makes some of the most comfortable seating - when I crawl into a Wrangler my 6'4" self feels as if I'm sitting ON the vehicle, whereas I actually get to sit IN a Bronco. I've made due with the Wrangler seating in the past but with what these vehicles cost these days there is no excuse for bad seating.

Ford also seems content to adorn the Sasquatch package on just about any model.

I'm interested in having a few questions answered, much of it can be answered with simple opinions.
I'd like to get a two door, manual, Sasquatch package.

  1. Apparently, the manual can no longer be ordered - are they going to bring it back?
  2. It's weird to me you cannot get the 6 cylinders with the manual - seems like a heavy vehicle for a 4 cylinder, especially with the Sasquatch package. Any of ya'll have manual with Sasquatch - how is it?
  3. How is the Sasquatch package as a daily driver or for road trips?
  4. The cloth top is expensive - if you check that box do you get both tops and how is the cloth top as for ease of use/noise/etc?
Any other thoughts/opinions are welcome.
I've time to research as I won't be ordering until February.

Thanks.
The Bronco seats are great. I’m 6’5” 290# and was never able to comfortably sit in a wrangler (could barely use 1st gear). In the Bronco I have no problem with feeling cramped and, to me, the Bronco seats are more comfortable than my wife’s 18 Expedition.

1). I know they manuals are a small percent of sales so I imagine they are just done for 24 and will bring them back when the 25s start production.

2). The 4 cylinder is much better than I thought it would be. It has plenty of power for everyday driving and is actually fun to use in higher RPMs. Since I don’t have the tune I will keep it in sports mode and it has plenty of power. Sports mode seems to engage the turbo fast, so a bit better throttle response.

3) I have 21,000 miles in my and no complaints for daily driving. I keep my tires around 35psi, the factory 39 is way to firm. Averaging between 18-19 mpg depending on time of year/ AC usage.

4). Cannot speak on the bestop but I do have the 4DR oem soft top. For the front seat, wind noise isn’t bad, back seats it’s a bit louder. Just got the Ford hard top and it is much quieter, especially in the back. The main road noise is now tires and not wind. While it’s not as quiet as the expedition, it’s not bad at all. Can easily have a conversation at any speed.

Sorry haven't read every word of the other posts. But I'm another happy 2 door Manual owner. I also have the Bestop Trektop(same as the Ford Accessory top for the 2 door.) I really like it!

For the 2 door yes they only come in hard top, so if you order the soft top you get both. However I personally wouldn't do that. I believe it would be more cost effective to purchase later from Bestop. For has a huge markup on them, and you would be financing the markup along with the vehicle. (For what it's worth same goes for an extended Ford ESP. )

Also not sure if it's been mentioned, there is an ongoing TSB for the Manual for a noise that can be problematic. Doesn't normally cause any drivability issues, and definitely not any fires. But you should know about it going into it.

The answer to this question is easy, if you want a manual 2 door Bronco for off-roading. Get the 2 door manual transmission Badlands without the Sasquatch package.

Don't worry about the soft top... I have both a soft top and a hard top. I will probably never use the soft top again.

Let me explain briefly. The non-sasquatch Badlands 2.3 manual gets you everything you want without the wheels and tires (unless you love the factory wheels and tires - seriously you can get much nicer wheels and tires for much less)

The only remaining decision is whether or not to get the following.

Tow package
Std, mid, high, or lux (2023), high/lux (2024) package

If it was me, I would search for either a lightly used or leftover 2023 or a new 2024 with the right packages. As far as the packages go, unless you need Adaptive Cruise Control or heated steering wheel, you can cross the lux package off the list. The big draw for the high package is the semi-reliable 360 degree camera. Otherwise the mid package has nearly everything most people want.

1 - Dunno
2- Very happy with my manual Sasquatch. 300hp is plenty, for on road and off. The V6 has lots more torque, but I don’t feel like miss it.
3- Sasquatch is fine on the highway. Cruise all day at 80mph.
4- Dunno, I have a hardtop only.

Welcome! I have a Badlands soft top with the 7mt, and added some larger tires as well as other goodies. It's close enough to a Sasquatch without the badge, a tad taller.

1. Ford better bring it back. It's an absolute blast, and they set it up damn near perfect. Firm pedal, nice throw, precise, smooth. To me, it's perfect.

2. As far as I know, Ford doesn't offer a manual with the 2.7 in any vehicle. The turbo 4cyl isn't a slouch by any means. I run premium fuel and it scoots when you step on the gas.

3. Mine isn't a Sasquatch, but it's lifted with 315's. So might as well be. Rides just fine. I like the feel of the Bilsteins. Mine is my daily, and I love it. Road trips are no biggie. 8hr cruise to Moab, and all I got was a sweaty back from the MGV. Wind noise doesn't bother me.

4. Not familiar with B&P options these days. Moar doors get the soft top as standard equipment. I live in AZ, and when the weather is not as hot as a star, the soft top is awesome. Easy to use, easy to remove. Fold back on a whim and cruise with an open roof. It's very functional. It is like a tent on a windy day. There will be noise. Having said that, it's really not that bad. Turn up the tunes and forget about it.

To sum it up. If you want the ultimate driving experience, grab a Bronco with the 7mt and a rag top. Whether you're cruising to work, the mall, or exploring some trails, it's one hell of a ride.

Manual 2 door Heritage here! I haven't followed the transmission rattle thread after I got mine delivered and have had no issue with mine, do a search and see if it's still an issue with the new ones. I've never driven a 2.7 but no issue if you have to be the first one in traffic with the 2.3, it's plenty quick to keep up and pass most. Outside of that the 2 doors get a standard hardtop so the Bestop option on B&P is the same one you can get directly from them for cheaper. If you order the Bestop from Ford it's dealer installed, not factory installed. You might want to research the top, some don't like that it doesn't fold all the way back, it only flips and the windows are removable.

What else ... roadtrips, mine is my daily driver, no issues with the Sasquatch package, really no surprise it drives and handles like a truck but it's fun to drive with manual. I've only taken it on one decent road trip, it handled it fine but I will say my Toyota FJ is better and it's the one we took to Orlando last week (more room, smoother ride).

Only other thing to add is that the Heritage package has a modular hardtop that gives you removable rear windows along with a gunners hatch above the rear passengers along with the standard front hatches so at that point the rear cap is pretty naked.

Good luck, lots of the same answers about the manual, haven't really heard anyone say they didn't love it!

Echoing lowcountry. The Heritage is definitely the way to go if you want a MT with sasquatch. 7 months and over 12k in mine and I still love it. Plenty of power, comfy enough for road trips, and the mod top was well worth the 3 year wait.

The Heritage still has the order banks open atleast it did a couple of weeks ago. The 7MT was a basic requirement, similar to @RBF 1401 , my primary vehicles have always been manual except I go back another decade! I love the way it drives and shifts. But, there have been some with issues for others especially in colder weather. Mine hibernates due to the salt used on the roads by me so maybe it won’t be an issue for me.

I can also echo Tricia’s comments regarding the 2 door. I can’t even get back there! My wife can, so 5’4, 115# isn’t an issue! 6’, 180# is! Before I got mine, I used to roll my eyes when people said getting in the back was a pita since we mostly had 2 door mustangs and camaro’s when my kids were little. Mini vans weren’t a thing yet and we never had issues. These are another level since the front seats don’t tilt as far forward and the doors are not 6 foot wide!
Only 2 door orders are open for HE. 4 door for HE and HEL are balanced out for 2024

Yes, that’s correct. That’s what his interest is in. A 2dr with a manual transmission.

Ah sorry I must’ve skimmed through the thread too fast I missed it. But yeah 2 door is open for HE. I would recommend doing it fast if you decide to go with heritage because seems like they’re starting to balance out order banks for special trims (Everglades is fully balanced out, HE and HE limited are balanced out for 4 doors)
