Off-Roadeo Moab - no availability at host hotel

FWIW, I called the Red Cliffs Lodge, and some days that were blocked off online were still available when I called.

That being said, I ended up staying at the Hyatt Place in Moab because they had a really good points rate. Only 8k points per night (for a $400/night room), so I was able to transfer over only 24k points from my Chase Sapphire credit card for 3 nights.

Host hotel has a 30 day cancellation policy. Call them within 30 days of your trip Something might open up.

Moab isn’t big enough to worry about where you stay. I mean I guess if you were at the far end of town and had to drive the speed limit all the way through it might be a slight inconvenience. My ex just took the kids there at the beginning of summer to see their uncle. No way she payed $400 a night. Plenty of places to stay for less than that.

I was able to find a hotel close to downtown for the weekend of Sept 25. Hopefully close enough to the watering holes that I don’t have to drive and I can lip-walk back to the hotel!

I had to change my flight the end of September..

there are NO RENTAL CARS WITHIN 2hr drive of Moab till end of November!!!

new passenger train from Denver has them all booked.. even the exotic jeeps..

So I’m driving from Ohio..

You’re not alone. There weren’t any rooms available at the Horseshoe Bay resort in Texas when I went either. I ended up just staying at a hotel in Austin as the rates were cheaper than the hotels in Marble Falls.
