This is pretty standard drag a dead truck to its funeral site stuff. They cut out the end of the video where a dump truck shows up and drops several tons of dirt on it.
As much as I like to drag toyotas through the mud or uh dirt. The dodge had a winch and atleast 1 tow strap. Even without a snatch block(which every winch owner should have) you could use a spare tire or empty rim to fashion a block out of. There were enough trees in the direction to pull from to rig it up to put it on its wheels. Or even distribute the load on multiple bushes. There is always a way.
However give the chance to do that to a toyota, I would have to think about it.
Wow i wasnt there but flipping it right side up you have to be real careful i saw one flipped back over on a steep trail by a group and when it righted it rolled down the hill.
Also pay attention to the second most dangerous thing on the trail other than a mama grizzly, the trail spectator always in the path of danger ,never much help, usually drunk
Looking at the opening photo, I don’t think there’s any way to possibly right it where it was. Dragging it some distance was probably necessary to get it out of that half pipe. And the passenger side is going to need a lot of work no matter what they do. Having said that, there’s no need to drag it that far.
