Last one, getting OT...

I grew up in Fairbanks, so different in the Interior as compared to the S/SE of AK. I road tripped to Valdez on this recent trip to AK. Crazy that Valdez is classified as a rain forest, just like Kodiak Island.

Worked in Fairbanks a few times. Far too many people there. Wasn't cut out for the city life.

As far as getting OT, all oil threads derail. Some just sooner than later.

And the most abused term in America: the non-existent “fully” automatic weapon when applied to select fire models. Try as you may you will never find “fully” stamped into the weapon, only “safe”, “semi” and “auto”.

So, where's everyone at with the SAS package or a good BBQ joint?

And you would've thought John Browning would've known better when designing the .45 Automatic Colt Pistol round for a semi-auto 120 years ago.

OK, OK, I said I would stop getting OT. Can't resist this one.

I think "assault weapon" is worse. It's a completely made up and ill defined term.

EDIT - Hopefully, this is not viewed a politics by the Mod(s)

Does seem a bit redundant, although I suppose many weapons are more defensive than offensive. What good would a weapon be if it could not assault something though?

It's really fun to find a revolver chambered in the .45 auto.

I have intentionally kept the dialogue to facts with no political shading as none is necessary anyway. But back to your point, apparently the WW 2 German STG 44 (Sturmgewher-spelling close but not actual) meant something akin to Assault Rifle.

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum for me. I bought my BD with 10k on it from a reputable regional Penske owned used car dealer. If I change oil with Pennzoil and keep the receipts I get a 10 year, 300k powertrain warranty from the dealer - which I expect to stay in business as they have huge inventory and full service garages in their dealers. This regional dealer Penske bought had been around 20 years.

I would say anything that meets or exceeds Ford specifications for your engine. They use a wet belt to drive oil pump in the 2.7. Wouldn't want it coming apart. Will certain oils affect it? We won’t talk about the disposable plastic oil pan. I have a skid plate now.
