In my youth I had a G1 and then a G3 (yes I’m on old fart) which had more traditional roofs. I’ve never been really excited about a removable top and even through multiple Jeeps and two G6’s, I’ve removed the front panels less than a handful of times and never the rear top. I’m curious if anyone else would prefer a traditional roof option? Quieter and insulated. I would bet that the large majority of owners never remove any part of the hardtop roof but maybe I’m wrong. Would you purchase a hardtop model that wasn’t removable?

I enjoy the top off, but only for short distances. I'm not someone who enjoys being baked in the sun constantly. I absolutely love my doors off though and will have them off as much as possible.

I'm one that has never or will never remove the top. But to alter the design of the 6G to accommodate a permanent roof would affect sales for those that want that feature. I would be content with a 1-piece painted HT that doesn't compromise the 6G design that allows for removable tops.

Copy the existing top but make the top out of aluminum and you would have the best of both worlds.
1. Lightweight removable top that will not crack like the MIC tops.
2. Leave it bolted on from the factory and you have a metal top!

Just my thoughts.

I'm with you on rarely taking the top off - maybe did it twice in 5 years but I still wouldn't want to lose that option since it's what makes a Bronco a Bronco.

I would have bought a metal hard top if available with frames on the windows. I bought the bronco for capability not to be seen when driving (I'm not pretty enough to be a Malibu barbie).

I like the idea of a removable hardtop, but I just don’t have the garage space to add a lift and/or store the top. So I’ve never taken it off.

However I love taking off the front panels. I’d buy a fixed top if the front panels were still removable.
