I have a small library of Haynes books...Chevys, Fords, Jeeps, Alfa Romeo, Land Rover, Toyota, Nissan, etc.. Yep, we're old.

I never cared for Haynes manuals. They often didn't have the information I needed and the photos weren't clear. I'd get the Motor's Manuals or shop manual.

Minor edit. I may have been thinking of the Chilton manuals, not Haynes. It's been a while.

Lol, same.
Or I did.
Sold most of them off on Ebay back 20 years ago.
Figured I didn't need manuals taking up space on a 1984 VW Rabbit any longer or a Motor repair manual for '68 GM powertrains.
But I do miss the nostalgia of them and the ability to pop open a book I can get my hands on vs. wading through the numerous YT videos that may or may not show what I'm looking for. Or even be applicable. Sometimes those titles are bit misleading or the search engine suggested videos be of something completely different.

Same analogy when it pertains to auto parts stores.
Back when I worked PT for them, we had manuals behind the counter to reference when the computer didn't get us what we were looking for. Now if the system doesn't show it they just shrug and say "We can't get it. Sorry. Next! how can I help you?"

I used to carry rotor pins, distributor caps & spark plug wires in my 1979 at all times!
Any source for reference was basically whatever we could find 30 years ago.
I am extremely thankful for this site, as well as YouTube these days! ;)

I have the Haynes for my old 90 bronco and have one for my 94 mustang gt.

Would not mind one for our 21+ just to have a paper copy. I try to download all the manuals and diagrams I can for this suckered. I am in this bronco for the long haul.

Hayne's and Chilton manuals were great on used cars before the internet, and NAPA almost always had what you needed. Anymore...well, as long as you've got an internet connection you've got more information at hand if you can sift through it.
